Centrally located on the North coast of Crete ( 22 km from Rethymno, 55 km from Heraklion
and Knossos and also close to the South coast of Crete ) lies the Village of Panormo.
There you will find Villa Kynthia, an old family House of considerable historical
value, in the Centre of the Village and only 200 meters from the Sea. It was constructed in
1898 and it was restored in 1991 with great care and, of course, fully in architectural
values.
Panormo is a small Traditional Village which at the close of the last century enjoyed
special renown due to its Harbor, which served as a Port of export towards western Europe for
local agricultural produce.
Right next door are the small Traditional Greek Taverns
which serve fresh fish, as well as various other Shops all of
which reflect the peaceful pace of Village life.
For a lively evening, the tastefully decorated Bar of Villa
Kynthia brings you into contact with the outside world and frequently offers for
your enjoyment evenings of Live Music.
This Villa remains open in the winter and makes an excellent starting point for
short journeys to some Villa of Crete's most beautiful mountain Villages.
