Welcome to OLOKALON De Lux Relaxation Suites! Anatoli Olokalon is located 900m from the historic village of Anatoli, situated 15 km above the city of Ierapetra (650 m. sea level), amidst a mountainous and rocky environment, which has been classified of outstanding natural beauty. The village, a very old settlement, with references from the
Venetian times, was until recently, a Head Village for the whole
periphery, densely populated with a busy main street shopping center. Half deserted nowadays, it is being rapidly renovated as a
resort place by rich inhabitants of Ierapetra. The location is ideal for vacations, combining the refreshing
climate and qualities of a mountainous village with easy access to the
sea. The short 20 minutes ride to the sea is rewarding with alternate views of gigantic rocks and sea glimpses below. Splendid beaches and resorts, with kilometers of sand
and picturesque small gulfs, extend on the east side of Ierapetra (20
min. drive away from Anatoli), while restaurants and taverns with
savoring Cretan specialties are to be found in around neighboring
villages or on the coastal front of Ierapetra. The town of Ierapetra (in the local dialect Gerapetro) is located on the south coast of Crete, along the beach of Ierapetra Bay.
A history that begins from the memories of a significant name,
both for its etymology glass and because of the family itself that with
dignity and pride kept its roots unchanging over the centuries. The name Olokalos can be translated either as beautiful or as a good man. This beauty is definitely referred to both the physical
appearance and the rich inner world of the people carrying this name.
Ioannis Olokalos (1496-1543) was a notary by profession at that time in
Ierapetra, Crete and the owner of the land that the hotel was recently
erected. As centuries went by, the land remained in family hands and
was cultivated to offer its fruits to the following generations. In
1912, Konstantinos immigrates to Brazil with the hope of a better
future, leaving his three children George, Michael and Maria behind in
the village of Anatoli. Four decades later, the two boys with their
families followed the way abroad after their father’s invitation, so
the only one remaining on the island is Maria. For the harsh years to come this land will be a source of life
for the family, since the oil, the almonds, the wheat and the barley
produced there will help the family survive. In the late ’60 and while
the mountainous areas are depopulated because of the immigration of the
citizens to the plains, the farm is abandoned and the family, in turn,
follows the shift to the more fertile lands of the beach. After Maria’s death in 1981, the farm was inherited by her son
George, who took his name in memory of her beloved brother. 25 years
later, George recalled his mother’s prophetic words when one evening he
and his brother, weary by the harvest, used degrading words to talk
about a land that was so tiring, but at the same time offered them so
little. “Beautiful houses are going to be built here”, she said
resentfully. At that time these words seemed a fruitless dream. Today this dream comes true and unites the history of the past with today’s luxury.

master bedroom with bathroom and separate living room with tea and
coffee facilities. Every piece of furniture along with state-of-the art
facilities and the subtle luxury of materials contribute to the suites'
gentle ambience. Residential in style, each suite is beautifully decorated. All
feature fine elegant furnishings and stylish French fabrics. They offer a terrace with sea view. Ideal for couples or small families (max 4
guests). Grand Suite (2) The Grand Suites feature the same characteristics as the
Senior Suites providing 1 master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and
living room with tea and coffee facilities. All feature fireplace and terrace with sea view. Designed with
contemporary elegance, their stylish feel is combined with indigenous
natural material and traditional techniques. Ideal for couples or small families (max 3
guests). Grand Suite with private pool
(4) The Grand Suite with private pool has 1 master bedroom (one
king size bed) with spacious en-suite marble bathrooms. Luxury is
prevailed throughout and attention to detail is evident everywhere in
the Suite. Soft and soothing colours create a warm, bright and
comfortable living room with working fireplace. A private swimming pool is provided in every Suite. The terrace with wooden sun-beds and marvelous panoramic sea
view over the Gulf of Ierapetra is the perfect place to relax and
unwind! Ideal for families or a group of four persons but also very popular with many discerning couples! (max. 4 guests).

Rakadikon Restaurant The exquisite decorated a la carte “Rakadikon” Restaurant
offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. During daytime, light but
sophisticated meals are served in cool atmosphere. In the evenings the candle lit setting provides the perfect location for indulging in the style of elegant dining! The experienced chef d’ hotel masterfully prepares classic
Greek and Mediterranean dishes using the finest ingredients as well as
high quality local products. For keeping our little guests happy, Rakadikon Restaurant
provides also a Children menu. Theme-nights Special theme-nights are planned throughout the Season. Guests can experience a full menu of the unique Greek Cuisine
and watch Cretan Dancers perform local dances during the "Greek"
evenings; grand Gala Dinners are also arranged as well as evenings with
live music and themed cuisine. “Senses” Bar The “Senses” Bar, with its sensually lighting and atmospheric
chill out music, looks at the main infinity pool and the Libyan Sea. Cocktails and refreshments are offered throughout the day to
the midnight. “Chill-out” Lounge Bar Relax in our sofas and enjoy a cocktail in our aetherial
“Chill-out” Lounge Bar. You can take your drink indoors in our absolute pink grey
lobby lounge. The view of Anatoli Mountain with the crystal blue water glow
